Our School
Where Big Dreams Begin in Small Classrooms
Primary Hall Preparatory Charter School (PHPCS) is a public, tuition-free charter school serving Buffalo's East Side.
We opened our doors in 2021-2022 to Kindergarten and First Grade students. Each year since, we've added a new grade level—growing into a full K-5 school by 2026. Beginning in 2024-2025, we expanded to serve four-year-old Pre-K students through a partnership with Buffalo Public Schools.
At Primary Hall, we take pride in our small-school approach that creates a big impact—offering personalized instruction, a nurturing environment, and the belief that every child can succeed.
Through rigorous curriculum, individualized supports, and positive character development, we ensure all students in Kindergarten through Fifth Grade are prepared for success in middle school, high school, and beyond.
A strong foundation in reading, math, and inquiry-based learning.
Equity in opportunity, ensuring every student receives the support they need.
Building character, leadership, and community-minded citizens.
At Primary Hall, every student is known, valued, and supported.
Our model focuses on small class sizes, individualized instruction, and a nurturing school environment that helps each child reach their full potential.
By combining strong academics with social-emotional growth, we ensure learning feels personal, purposeful, and impactful for every student.
